while i was in the yard planting, eric was in the workshop making the office bookshelves. he called me in to see simon fast asleep. poor little baby...so tired.

with a lunch break in between - valerie and fletcher come to bring some comic relief.

on labor day weekend we all labored at 3206 french place - 4 cubic yards of soil moved from the road to the second floor garden. we started at 10:30 and finished around 7:00. thankfully two neighbors felt sorry for us and grabbed buckets and shovels in the late afternoon to help out or we might have been there until early sunday morning.

simon got to hang out with cathy when she wasn't shoveling dirt. eric got to pull the dirt to the roof. christie got to take pictures.

christie is happy to report that the garden is planted - broccoli, cauliflower, chard, spinach, beets, carrots, turnips, peas, collards and more, oh boy!
