happy birthday simon - the musical

another fun day with nana

the day started with christie & eric rearranging furniture for music class,

then christie enticing simon to eat peas and brown rice,

then nana kissing on simon (he loves it - hopefully that will last for years),



then simon checking himself out before his friends arrive for music class,



then simon completing ignoring his mama and nana during music class
- he prefered to lean on another mama,

and finally a delightful excursion to costco so simon could go shopping in the winter weather. and a cold, rainy winter it is turning out to be.

nana visits austin for birthday celebrations

as soon as nana put opened her suitcase, simon climbed in to help her unpack. simon had a full day - a visit from friends, a trip to the airport, and a special week a head with nana.

simon's journey home day

simon came home with eric and christie at 7pm on february 3rd - very soon after that flecther, valerie & dallas came for the 1st view of our little boy. then 4 days later simon officially met fletcher. it's been a super fabulous first year.

february 1, 2010 - simon's 1st birthday!

simon amuses us while we sing happy birthday to him. he will get cake on february 7 at his b-day brunch - we are mean, but not that mean. well actually see below and you can decide. be kind, please.

after all the festivities of the morning - birthday banana and

singing, simon visits the doctor on his 1st birthday. he's

happy, though, that he gets to hang out with dad for the day.

date night for christie & eric - YEAH! bud has his birthday at the highball.

eric sings 'if heaven ain't a lot like dixie.' they didn't have it on the playlist, so eric set up a boom box with headphones to 'sing' the song on his own. it was a beautiful experience. so beautiful amy wipes tears - laughing tears.

january 12th dateversary night and friends visiting

fletcher stayed with us while his parents went out for a date anniversary

dinner. i made the boys sit for photos because that's how i roll. then liz and rich came home with the boys for some chinese food and hanging out.

simon eats an apple by himself for the 1st time - he is

fascinated by the apple and does a nifty job of it.
